Whitcoulls is an iconic New Zealand brand with a long history of selling an exciting range of products from books to stationery to games and toys. We currently have an opportunity at our support office in Auckland for a smart, enthusiastic Category Assistant to join us.

You will work closely with the Junior Category Managers for Fashion Stationery and Gifting on administration and system support, range management, promotions, stock management, and data integrity.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong customer service and work ethic, excellent administrative skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast pace. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Excel are considered essential. Previous experience within Category Support is ideal, although we will consider people who show initiative and a commercial customer focused mind-set, or recent graduates with a business or marketing focus.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a big workload to tight deadlines, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to organise your day and then adapt where necessary to fit everything in! A positive attitude and strong relationship management skills will be highly valued.

In return, Whitcoulls offers the opportunity to get involved in retail category management, develop your skills, work in a great team environment and be part of a high profile NZ owned retail group. We are committed to world class retailing and to providing an environment that empowers and supports employees to achieve both professional and personal goals.

To be considered for the position, you must be eligible to work within New Zealand.

Employment is for a fixed contract period ending Mid April 2020.

We look forward to receiving your application.
