Whitcoulls is an iconic New Zealand brand with a long history of selling an exciting range of products from books to stationery to games and toys. We currently have an opportunity at our support office in Auckland for a smart, enthusiastic Category Assistant to join us.
You will work closely with the Category Manager for Fashion Stationery and the wider General Merchandise team on administration and system support, range management, promotions, stock management, and data integrity.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong customer service and work ethic, excellent administrative skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast pace. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Excel are considered essential. Previous experience within Category Support is ideal although we will consider people who show initiative and a commercial customer focused mind-set.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a big workload to tight deadlines, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to organise your day and then adapt where necessary to fit everything in! A positive attitude and strong relationship management skills will be highly valued.
